The Kimber CDS9 (OR)(RL) is Kimber's most fully equipped variant of the Covert Double Stack 9mm platform, blending modern carry-focused engineering with a comprehensive feature set tailored for serious everyday defense use. Built on a lightweight aluminum frame with a striking two-tone KimPro II finish — gray on the frame and black on the slide — it brings together Kimber's double-stack 9mm capacity with true 1911-style single-action mechanics in a compact, concealable package. The (OR)(RL) designation sets this model apart from the rest of the CDS9 lineup, adding both an optics-ready slide machined to accept RMSc footprint red dot optics and an integrated accessory rail for attaching lights or lasers. Fully ambidextrous controls, including a reversible magazine release and ambi thumb safety, make it equally shootable for left- and right-handed users, while the VZ G10 Frag pattern grips provide a secure, aggressive purchase under stress.
